Play video games, make money, and prove to your mother that all that time in front of you Playstation/Xbox/Nitendo/computer or whatever was worth it. An ideal that many a videogamer has envisioned all their lives. Who hasn’t thought that being a game tester would be one of the best jobs in the world. Right up there with the beer taste tester.
But it’s not all fun and relaxation. Or so I found out from this one post at Hubpages.com. It would seem that being a video game tester is hard work, who knew. Playing the same game 100+ times, going right instead of left, jumping into a pit of fire that you know will kill you, just to see what happens. Lots of little irks that I hadn’t considered.
Would I still go for it? Maybe if I were younger. But if you want to find out if you can find all the bugs in an under-development game, getting stuck in walls, falling through the earth, and dying every time you reload your gun or get a bonus, a couple of hundred times over, well go and see where it takes you.
