Ultimate Presidential candidate guides are not ultimate

I always find it interesting when a poll is presented on various blogs, that claim to be “ultimate” or “comprehensive” guides to the Presidential candidates of both parties. Inevitably these ‘unbiased’ polls/lists are seriously one-sided. They skew their comments to obviously favor whatever side they are on. Sometimes its subtle, but usually not.

I’ll give you en example. On the blog Depresident, there is an “Ultimate Guide” for all the Presidential candidates. This guide is limited to only the popular frontrunners, and obviously has nothing positive to say about any Republican candidate.

Here are a couple of choice pro’s and cons he lists of various candidates, see if you can tell who its for and if it’s a pro or con:

Doesn’t have a “Karl Rove” to do her dirty work, seems to get a bit to hands on.

Seriously handsome.

Married three times, that we know of. (June 2007)

Seems gay.

Mainly known for kissing GWBs ass.

Not much… but could be hit with a major dose of iPhone envy.

His father was german.

A lot of people have heard his name.

Knows a lot of stuff about lot of stuff.

Ok, if you don’t know they are in order:
Senator Clinton – con, Senator Obama – pro, Giuliani – con, Romney – con, Senator McCain – con, Gore – con, Representative Paul – con, Senator McCain – pro, Senator Clinton – pro.

If this is the best that can be said for all the candidates, none of them deserve the job. Thankfully there are better sites, and better guides.
