The auto racing season will begin anew next month and the Tampa Bay Lightning are getting into the spirit inviting 2008 Daytona 500 champion Ryan Newman to jump start Thursday night’s game with the Philadelphia Flyers saying “Let’s play hockey” prior to the first puck being dropped.
Newman will also sign autographs on the concourse behind section 112 from 6-6:30 pm and representatives the Daytona International Speedway will be on the Chrysler-Jeep Plaza prior to the game. Fans visiting their booth can take photos with the Daytona Show Car and enter to win two tickets to the 2009 Daytona 500, which will kick into full gear on Sunday, February 15, 2008.
