They need to just make it like they used to

The Times of London says that Eidos is thinking of trying to rework Tomb Raider’s Lara Croft to interest girls more after sales on the latest entries have done less well than before. But assuming the idea is to draw her less busty, I don’t think that’d help. And if one of the replies to the article tells anything:
What is with this stereotype that only guys play Tomb Raider? 90% of the people I know that play the game are girls.
Eidos needs to look at Angel of Darkness and the creativity and passion that went into that game. Lara doesn’t need another ‘makeover’ - she needs to return to what she used to be.
Yup. So again, it would not help to make her less busty, and as Rocket J. Squirrel once said, “Gosh, Bullwinkle, that trick never works!” Only improving the game’s adventure themes would. The whole notion that games like these have to tone down the bustiness in order to appeal more to women seems awfully exaggerated. (could it have ever derived from an absurd leftist mindset? Maybe not, but still, I gotta wonder…)
The article does give some pretty good side notes about the history of how Tomb Raider was first created in the mid-90s though.
