In what was a crazy week persoanlly for me, between the crappy Detroit weather and taking my son to his first Monster Jam, I still found a little time to write about NASCAR. Over at the examiner I was also given two additonal columns a Sports Busienss column and a Detrioit Politics column. Career wise it was a pretty good week. Of course I stirred up a hornets nest by saying Dale Jr is over hyped but hey what are you going to do. Apprently many people out there do not understand the difference between over hyped and over rated. I would never say Dale Jr. is over rated, dude has skills and his probably a top ten driver right now today. The problem for me comes in with the amount of attention that guy gets, and that was the whole point of the article. Anyways here are some links to what I wrote about last week.

I started my week out by starting me team previews. Since I couldn’t figure out a better way to do it I started with #1 Martin Truex.

On Tuesday I wrote the now infamous Dale Jr column, and while I stand by my arguemnt I don’t think I will be doing that again. To many ignorant emails that made posts like that not worth my time.

Early Wednesday Morning I broke the news about the Hall of Fame Yates Racing Alliance and the hiring of one Bobby Labonte with sponsorship from ask.com

Later that day I explored the argument that NASCAR is not a sport. This didn’t seem to make people as mad as the Dale Jr article, but I still got a few highly questionable emails about it.

On Friday I wrote a peice about the changes to the Bud Shootout, which now and forever shall be known as the Tony Stewart Rule. I really hate when NASCAR changes the rules to include drivers they feel should be in the field. In my mind that makes NASCAR to much like proffesional wrestling.

Finally on Sunday I took some time to explore what the 2009 Sprint Cup field will look like. Its to bad that news is not better but NASCAR shall prevail.
