Medicine ball training is ideal for young people….doing full body exercises with 5 or 10 pound medicine balls is safe and fun…for everyone, you are more likely to stay with your exercise program if you enjoy it….
How old is old enough to start resistance training? Starting bodyweight resistance training at age 5 or 6 is safe with proper supervision. At these ages, doing exercises correctly is the most important thing.
The youngsters can also begin strengthening and stabilizing the joints and core at these early ages…..In my experience, the core is the weak link in most people. And, low back injury is one of the most common problems I see in exercisers.
Help reverse this country’s youth obesity epidemic by introducing your youngsters to medicine ball training….this is a fact: I exercise today because I started at an early age….exercise is just part of who I am! Help your youngster (or some other youngster) start a lifetime of fun and fitness by using medicine ball exercises!
