Going on sale in the UK this week is the cellulite serum that apparantly gets rid of the look of cellulite in 9 minutes! It’s causing a degree of controversy because scientists think the claims are hokum, and yet Adonia are so confident of results they’re posting before and afters all over their website and offering a money back guarantee. Containing organic grapefruit oil, organic lemon peel oil and organic neroli oil to name but a few ingredients, the ones that are causing most science-y questions are the plant stem cells, which sound very fancy. However, it’s doubtful that plant stem cells could replicate any functions on the human body, but Adonia claim they ‘reawaken and reactivate your body’s own domant and weak skin stem cells.” The findings of Adonia’s trial claims a 47% reduction in cellulite after 9 minutes, and yet curiously only a 72% decrease after 6 weeks. I’m no statistician but that seems strange to me. The trials don’t seem to have been conducted against other products and I can’t find mention of how many women were trialled. Yet, a quick trawl through Google shows that there are many positive comments from users in the USA, so even if the plant stem cells do absolutely zip, the product seems to have garnered a firm fan base, even appearing in the Oscar goodie bags. It sells for £68, www.adonialegtone.com

At last, I received my Adonia leg tone serum today!
Went a bit mad and ordered 2, as the offer on the Adonia website was buy 2 get the third one free. I ordered it on 6th March and they said order’s outside U.S.A would be delivered within 14 business days, so was a bit disappointed when I received an email on the 19th March informing me it had only just been shipped, in other words it had taken nearly 2 weeks. Anyway today postman posted a card through the door, informing us there was a payment to be made of £16.35 on the package. So we went to the post office sorting office and had to pay the extra in order to collect my parcel. The reason was V.A.T and custom charges! Not Adonia’s fault, they’d paid first class post, just good old Englands’s taxes.
The cream is supposed to cost £68 in the shops, but in March it wasn’t available in shops in England. On the internet with exchange rate it cost £126 (which worked out £63 per bottle) so paying the extra £16 makes a total of £142 (but I did have my 3rd bottle free!)Anyway, I’ve now tried it…..
Instructions say to gently massage on to clean buttocks and thighs, leave for 4 minutes then re-apply and then leave for 9 minutes. You have to do this twice a day for 30 days. After that you apply once in the morning and evening. I did my own trial. I bravely asked my husband to look at my legs (back and front) and confirm they looked the same. I showered and moisturised one leg, and used serum on the other, and after all that, he couldn’t tell which leg I’d put Adonia on, infact guessed the wrong leg!!. He says there’s nothing wrong with my legs, not true, but I’m afraid I expected a miracle in 9 minutes and didn’t see one. However I’ll use it twice a day (on both legs) and who knows maybe it will improve my legs. Expected to see some change, and I’m sorry to say I didn’t. Will have to give it longer. Will keep you posted….

I have been using this serum as directd for three weeks with no result. I find myself questioning the authenticity of both before and after photos and spoken testimonials regarding this very hyped up product.Trying to get a refund is proving to be extremely difficult and not as simple as there advertising would have us believe.

I ordered Adonia Leg tone serum on March 26th and received it on April 13. I was disappointed that it took so long to get it and getting a hold of someone in the completed proved to be nearly impossible!
Either way, someone finally got back to me, which I really appreciated.

Anwyay..I followed the instructions, by applying once, then waiting 4 minutes, then another 9 to see results. Unfortunately, I saw n-o-t-h-i-n-g, which is very disappointing…because the pictures posted on their website seem to be virtually impossible to me after the result I saw with my own eyes (which was nothing in 9, 10 , 20 minutes). I’m going to give it another shot but following the instructions for 30 days, but at this point, I’m not very hopeful. Will try to keep you updated.
