The Environmental Protection Agency is examining whether to increase the allowable ethanol blend rates in most automobiles from 10 percent to a higher blend level. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack said Monday he has had a number of conversations with EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson “encouraging her and her team to take aggressive actions on the blend rate.”
