2009 NBA Finals Schedule

So much for the overhyped LeBron-Kobe matchup, and to me LeBron’s absence in the NBA Finals does not solidify Kobe as the best player in the world right now. Look at their running mates. Mo Williams, Delonte West, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas do not stack up against Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, and Trevor Ariza. That debate will live to fight another day unlike the Cavs.
That’s because Dwight Howard elevated his game to lead the Magic back to the Finals. The last time they were there Grunge was big and a fella name Shaq manned the Center position. Rotoworld is reporting that Jameer Nelson could be making a triumphant return. So don’t count out the Magic an the Master of Panic Stan Van Gundy. If Kobe and Co. think they can coast on the road and win at home, they’ll be watching Superman hoist the NBA Finals trophy.
Here’s a look at the 2009 NBA Finals Schedule:
Game 1: Thursday June 4: Orlando at L.A. Lakers
Game 2: Sunday June 7: Orlando at L.A. Lakers
Game 3: Tuesday June 9: L.A. Lakers at Orlando
Game 4: Thursday June 11: L.A. Lakers at Orlando
Game 5: Sunday June 14: L.A. Lakers at Orlando (if necessary)
Game 6: Tuesday June 16: Orlando at L.A. Lakers (if necessary)
Game 7: Thursday June 18: Orlando at L.A. Lakers (if necessary)
