In three recordings:
Call it Contra with a forward perspective (something that classic game had for at least 2 stages), with two commandos on a mission to destroy an dictatorial regime that’s holding an ambassador hostage. While technically a rail-shooter, there is a space on which you can move up and down even while moving forward “into” the screen. Except for the bosses, a lot of the enemy vehicles can be taken down with one missile, which is what the rockets you can gather are usually for.
Another complicating factor is that, if you fail to reach a certain goal within the time limit, the stage can start over again, making it fairly difficult even with 2 players, and it’s hard to tell if when your next turn comes in after dying at half-points, the timer will be reset. And you can’t continue on the last stage, so it takes plenty of skill to complete that part.
