Here are two videos of BattleTech: The Crescent Hawk’s Inception and Revenge:
These were early precursors to the kind of strategy games that Command & Conquer would set the standard for later on, made by a game developer called Westwood that later merged with EA in 1998. This was based in part on the BattleTech franchise that began in the mid-80s, and was quite popular in its day.
